The 608F trombone is a durable and well-designed instrument perfect for students and amateur musicians alike. The .525" medium bore is ideal for easier play in the upper register. The crossover design on the F thumb lever focuses the weight of the trombone between the thumb and the first finger making the 608F very comfortable to hold, especially for players with smaller hands. The traditional closed wrap style of the F tubing is the most widely played in the world. It involves two loops turned on themselves with bends in the air column pathway. This closed wrap style encourages cleaner attacks and more stability during large dynamics.
Premium Materials
The King 608F trombone features a rose brass bell, complemented by a clear lacquer finish. Rose brass is popular among orchestral players for its darker tone than yellow brass. Rose brass contains a higher amount of copper than yellow, allowing a high level of projection and a broader, fuller tone. The 608F has a chrome plated nickel silver inner slide which provides the ideal surface for quick and smooth slide action. Nickel silver is used for many premium trombone slides because it's firmer and has greater corrosion resistance compared to standard brass. Once the 608F has been constructed, a layer of clear lacquer is applied to make sure the instrument stays looking newer for longer.
