Each sound has been taken directly from original analog hardware drum machines, encompassing their exact tones as you'd expect from the box when first opening. You don't need to spend time dialling in your favourite drums, getting the balance right or even mixing. It's all taken care of for you. Each mix is different and so Circuits is flexible enough to meet the needs of any production style in any appropriate genre. Encompassing a range of tonal shaping tools, Circuits includes 12 professionally-designed mixing presets to reshape and enhance the sound of your kit. Here, you can add thumping low-end, subtle stereo enhancement, EQ carving and many other processors rolled into each mixing preset. All with the benefit of being behind with only one click! Advanced editing is afforded to experienced producers through the multi-out routing, allowing you to process independent tracks with third-party plug-ins within your DAW.

The most important part of any production is the song, everything else falls into place once you get this crucial part right. For this reason, Circuits follows the same Beatmaker ethos, providing everything you need at arms reach in an intuitive interface which lets you dive into production without complicated musical terms or endless tweaking.

Inside Beatmaker Circuits you'll find 10 kits, each with 16 unique kit pieces, making it easy to find the right sound for your production. These kits can be put to use with a total of 460 patterns inside, spanning over 20 different genres, each with 23 ready-made patterns. Animated and automated, Beatmaker Circuits supplies a plethora of different grooves and beats to craft your song with, each of which is entirely customisable to the requirements of your composition. Divided into song-specific sections, you can craft beats from start to finish in a matter of minutes by grabbing everything from intros, verses, choruses, breakbeats and outros to complete your composition. Whether you choose to use the presets as-is or customise your performance, Beatmaker Circuits includes intuitive MIDI drag-and-drop to dive into the minutia of your groove in your DAW to create your own customised groove.

Specialised Boost control

A common technique done in the studio to add weight and articulation to your sound, the Boost control will enhance the low and high frequencies of your mix when boosted, resulting in a fuller and more pronounced sound. This works in combination with an aggressive compressor which clamps down on dynamic range the higher the setting is pushed, enhancing the punch and sustain of your drums. Perfect for when there are lots of other elements in your mix that the drums need to cut above, cranking the Boost control will give you a one-step solution without ever needing to reach for an external compressor or EQ.

Neutral in the middle position, the Boost control can be sent into the negative. In reverse, the low and high frequencies are attenuated, pushing the mids to the front. In doing this, Circuits will create a more focused sound that's perfect to pair with a classic electronic 808-style bass to create space for each instrument. In addition to the EQ, when set to negative values, a transient designer will intelligently analyse the audio signal and apply frequency-specific transient enhancement.
