Product Ref: 255539
Equipped with two AES inputs with balanced XLR connectors and an integrated sampling rate converter, the AE-4D provides the perfect solution for processing your analog signals and converting them to digital. You can choose between four audio channels at 44.1/48 kHz, 16/24 bit or two audio channels ranging up to 96kHz/24-bit depending on your workload and sound reproduction needs. By converting your analog signal to Dante, you can then transfer your audio signal over an ethernet network; helping to streamline your setup.
The rear of the AE-4D features two locking XLR AES/EBU inputs with two AES/EBU outputs complete with two LAN connectors for daisy chaining multiple Dante devices for expansive connectivity. It also provides support for AES67, allowing the unit to connect to Ravenna and other compatible audio network technologies.
For advanced users, the AE-4D comes complete with built-in DSP (digital signal processing) allowing you to change settings and parameters via dedicated software. Flexible audio routing settings allow you to change everything from sampling frequencies and bit depths to the transmitting device name and even latency settings. Tascam DCP Connect (for system managers) and EZ Connect (for end users) are the dedicated software on offer allowing you to wirelessly control the AE-4D from your smartphone/tablet device.
When it comes to pro-grade audio equipment such as the AE-4D, reliability and efficiency becomes paramount. One of the most unique features of the AE-4D is the inclusion of PoE (Power over Ethernet) which eliminate the need for an AC adapter. This not only streamlines your connection options but it also drastically reduces installation costs. Compact and sleek, the Tascam AE-4D is the perfect choice for space-conscious users; allowing you to expand and refine your setup with this half-rack size unit. It also comes complete with attachment brackets so you can mount the unit under a tabletop.
