Powerful and contemporary
The perfect companion to the modern composer, the SRX Orchestral Virtual Instrument contains hundreds of the most beloved orchestral sounds in history, perfectly captured to give you the tools to create contemporary film scores, powerful classical music, game music, sound design and much more. Optimised for modern music production workflow, the SRX Orchestral features over 425 plug-and-play patches with in-depth parameter editing to quickly and easily access the perfect sound for your composition. Flutes, clarinets, choirs and percussion are featured, alongside multiple orchestra voices via single key press, allowing you to creatively design your virtual orchestra and customise each and every element in your mix.
Hardware integration
The SRX Orchestral Instrument also supports Plug-out format and can be used in a number of compatible Roland hardware units, where knobs and sliders can be used to map to the SRX Orchestral Virtual Instrument to give you flexible and expressive control over your performance. This combination is ideal for the live musician and sound designer, with dedicated controls to get hands-on with your instrument, ease of use in parameter adjusting in the digital realm and much more. Not only this, but you have the ability to transfer sounds back and forth between the hardware and the software to carry your sounds and presets with you anywhere you go, editing on the fly with real physical controls that don't require a computer.
The origin of digital instrument emulation
A giant leap in technology, the Roland SRX sound modules were the professional solution for accessing a wide variety of high-quality sounds in one place. Each loaded with a specialised sampled waveform for different styles and genres, the ever-expanding modules allowed new users to create sounds that were previously only accessible with physical versions of each instrument. The ultimate composer's toolkit, the SR(X) series were quickly adopted by many of the worlds top producers, composers, performers and film composers to create countless hit songs, film soundtracks among many other media outlets.
