The MXL CR-89 large Diaphragm Condenser Mic, a tried, tested and proven option for professional musicians and vocalists. MXL released the CR-89 in 2013 as a successor to their V89 series. In the decade of its existence, the CR-89 has not only stood the test of time but exceeded all expectations of a microphone at this price range.
A clean, black chrome and matte black body give the CR-89 a professional studio aesthetic. The MXL CR-89 is packaged with an aluminium case, a shock mount and a cleaning cloth so you can preserve and maintain your microphone. The CR-89 weighs less than a kilogram, the mic is compact meaning less effort for you to transport it and set it up.
Inside the MXL CR-89 is a large 6-micron gold-sputtered diaphragm, it provides a wide frequency response and a signal/noise ratio of 80db. The maximum SPL of the SR-89 is 138dB and the dynamic range of 124dB which allows you to record at higher volumes without compromising the quality of the output.
