Authentic tone and control
With all of the original tone stops on offer, the Farfisa V is capable of a wide range of sounds, all of which can be combined to produce rich tones filled with complex harmonics. Voice tabs encompassing the treble section have two functions: select one or more pitches for each key, and select the filters to send the pitches through. Filters include bass, strings, flute, oboe, trumpet, strings, and flute.
The Multi-Tone Booster selects between boosted or treble voices. in MTB mode you can select the pitches for each key. Furthermore, you can utilise the Knee Lever to mix in higher frequencies or enable All Booster to mix in as much high-frequency content as possible.
Just like the original, the Farfisa V offers distinctive percussion and repeat characteristics that define the way the organ generates sounds. You'll get full control over percussion and repeat to sync repeat to host tempo, the rate at which repeats are activated, and the ability to create longer or shorter decay times on the percussion section.
Split bass and treble sections across the keyboard to play both parts at once. Mix in just the right level and tone of bass with manual control, octave selection, decay to a sharper or softer character, the presence of percussive attack and its length. All this makes for a big and heavy sound or alternatively can be a secondary organ part to add overall weight.
Advanced panel
The Farfisa sound is a classic, so when Arturia decided to expand upon it they insisted upon remaining faithful to its distinctive tone. Nevertheless, the advanced panel offers huge potential for sound design including a 48-band additive waveform generator, selectable synth waves for the bass section with adjustable cutoff and resonance, attack-release envelope and offset knob. Moreover, tune each note individually to dial in the perfect level of vintage misbehaviour that gives your sounds an authentic vibe. Choose from a range of classic spring and plate reverbs that put Farfisa V in authentic recording spaces. Trigger the signature knee lever via pitch-bend, aftertouch, or a different MIDI CC, and select its function between MT booster or Wah Filter.
Amp tone and effects
Traditionally the Farfisa was often played through a guitar amp and guitar effects to enhance its sound. Arturia has modelled both an amplifier and several effects units to give your sounds a harder or more psychedelic edge. The amp lends a more vintage, amped sound to your signal and offers a bright switch, treble, mid, and bass dials to sculpt the EQ, and the ability to switch between on and off-axis microphone placement. The effects include a flanger, phaser, chorus pedal, analog delay pedal, overdrive pedal, and a swell pedal. These effects are taken from Arturia's other vintage keyboard models, and the order can be swapped to mix up the signal chain and ultimate sound.
