Delivering signature amp-like tones in only a few clicks, Dist OPAMP-21 injects a unique solid-state flavour, packed with grit and edge to your tracks. Deceptively simple, the four modes, eight character switches and three-band EQ let you find your own flavour quickly.
Like the hardware original, the Mode controls the virtual preamp tonestack to mimic classic guitar amplifiers. Normal mode delivers a pristine, American clean tone while Lead boasts searing high-gain distortion typically found on British-made full stack amplifiers. Bass delivers a fat, full-bodied and smooth bass tone found on classic American-made 'Blackface' bass amplifiers.
There are of course eight character switches that would be found as dipswitches on the hardware original. Perfect for catering the response of your distortion characteristic to your mix, you can select between two levels of midrange boost, low-pass filter, enhance control to tame the gain stage, brightness enhancer, simulated tube warmth, simulated speaker EQ curve and simulated microphone response.
Of course OPAMP-21 features the famous dual-band EQ, Dive and Output controls to be used as traditional amplifier parameters. Perfect for fine-tuning the amount of high-frequency distortion content to tailor to any instrument, from bass, guitar, vocals or synthesizers.
