The process of building the Trujillo bass took two years to complete. Working with Robert and his tech team, Warwick have created an excellent signature bass guitar that Trujillo himself plays with on stage. With a very high level of playability, and a low growling tone for when things get heavy. The Trujillo RockBass is one of Warwick"s premier bass guitar designs. It’s lightweight, tough, and with its blackened matte finish, looks great too. A must-have for serious bassists who want to play like one of the greats.
What sets this bass apart from others is the tiny little details that help make it sound unique and great fun to play. Its Tiger-stripe ebony fingerboard feels nice to play and looks awesome too. Gripping on to your fingers to help you articulate notes but also giving you the freedom to play the whole neck with ease. The mother of pearl "RJ" inlays, designed in the Metallica aesthetic gives the bass a unique style but are clear enough to help you navigate your fretboard, and the well-built chrome control interface that offers a deep level of tone shaping. It equates to a truly professional bass guitar.
Using alder wood, the bass is tough and has a very balanced tone. Right across the spectrum, the bass sounds full and lively and is such to complement the aggressive fingerstyle playing that Trujillo is known for. With a very deep sonic character, the alder wood bass body is perfect for any style, but really excels in music like metal, where you need a full low end but also some accompanying energetic bite to your tone.
Whether you’re playing up or down the neck, you can expect the highs to shine beautifully through the mix and the lows to rumble.
