The 62.5Hz band is perfect for instantly adding “body” and “weight” to your sound, whilst the 125Hz is excellent in eliminating the risk of low mid frequency "mud". A subtle boost at 500Hz can be a real asset when you desire “intelligibility” to cut through the densest of mixes and the high mid frequency boosts at 1kHz and 4kHz serve to offer plenty of attack and harmonics as a nice finishing touch for a “record ready” sound. You can even cut all bottom end to get high-pass filtered tones, cut all treble to get a low-pass filter tone, or just experiment to find radically innovative new sounds; the choice is yours.
