The Laney Ironheart 60H features global controls to keep your sound cohesive. Affecting all three channels equally, the master dynamics, tone, and reverb controls add a touch of much-needed finesse to even the most brutal metal tones.
The Dynamics knob is a great way to keep your chugs in check, managing the low-end volume boost that can sometimes result from distorted palm-muting for a smoother, more professional result.
The addition of a master Tone knob is perfect for players who use a range of guitars in the same set. Switching from active humbucking pickups to regular single-coils, for example, can result in a drastic change in frequency response. Counteract this in one quick move by adjusting the global Tone to taste.
Laney have included a specially designed and custom tuned reverb in the Ironheart. Use the included footswitch to instantly add atmospheric wash to clean sections, or smooth out those solos. Or turn the dial to full for spaced-out, experimental fun.
Despite its low-wattage, bedroom rehearsal capabilities, the Ironheart was designed with professional, touring musicians in mind. As such, it includes all the additional elements that make an amp perfect for the road.
The Ironheart IRT-60H comes complete with a handy, robust footswitch. This four-button unit allows simple switching between the amp's three channels, as well as instantaneous control of both the on-board reverb and the handy Pre-boost feature. Connecting by 5-pin MIDI DIN cable, the FS4-IRT is as sturdy and simple as footswitches come - perfect for touring life.
A world-class FX Loop allows unlimited integration of pedals for just the right sound, and includes a switch to engage a -10db pad, or bypass the loop entirely.
Recording direct from the head itself is simple, using the built-in XLR D.I. Output. This powerful feature includes the option to switch between a dry DI signal direct from your guitar, or the full amp sound. Unusually, this is tapped AFTER the 6L6 power amp valves to ensure you get the full tube sound to send to your DAW or cabinet simulator. With a dedicated DI Level knob and ground lift switch both neatly placed next to the XLR port itself, this is a tidy and powerful D.I. solution.
