An Introduction to the Roland TD-07

It all starts with the module

All Roland TD-07 electronic drum kits are equipped with the TD-07 sound module. This module is packed full of authentic drum kit sounds that cover a range of styles and genres. Choose from 25 pre-set kits, 143 individual sounds, and add up to 25 user kits via USB.

These sounds are carefully selected by drummers, for drummers, to ensure that every style can be played on the TD-07 kits.

Once you select a pre-set kit, you can use the deep editing tools to transform the pre-set into your very own signature sound. Additionally, you can also tune each individual drum, and change the ambient environment and EQ for each sound.

Drumming along to your favourite songs is made easy with Bluetooth connectivity. Simply connect your smartphone, tablet, or computer wirelessly to the module and listen to your songs through the module.

If you're not using a Bluetooth device you can connect using an aux cable instead. The Bluetooth capability also offers a quick and easy way to record your performances using MIDI transmission. This allows you to record MIDI data in music production apps cable-free.

The Roland TD-07 module also allows you to send stereo sound and multi-channel MIDI data to a Mac or Windows computer via a single USB cable, meaning you can record your performances into any DAW with exceptional ease. With the Roland TD-07 module, you can learn, improve, and develop your drumming easily.

An advanced built-in metronome ensures that you stay on the right track during practice and performances. This metronome lets you adjust the time signature, note value, and click tone. The onboard coach function provides interactive tools, helping you to develop your timing skills and track your progress along the way.

Roland TD-07DMK

The Roland TD-07DMK is designed for beginner drummers, intermediate players, and returning drummers. This kit features the legendary Roland sound and feel in a compact footprint – perfect for home use.

The compact CY-5 crash and ride cymbals allow you to play with expression despite their small sizes, while the stand-mounted kick pad provides the same bass drum sound without taking up the extra space.

While the pads are smaller, they provide an incredibly authentic stick feel due to the ultra-quiet, double-ply mesh heads. These heads also offer an almost silent response, ensuring you can play without disturbing the neighbours.
