Key Features
Product Ref: 306317
The slightly plump shape of the barrel in the CSGIII gives a refined, resonant tone, whilst the thicker walls of the bell allow for fantastic presence and a deeper sound. The projection and stability at high volumes offered by these design choices make the YCL-CSGIII ideal for use both in ensembles and as a solo instrument, due to its excellent dynamic range and massive flexibility in tone.
A seasoned Grenadilla wood body offers a vintage tone and feeling, whilst hand-sculpted undercut tone holes allow for unmatched intonation. Action pads made of cork and leather are optimally set-up to maximise on their tonal quality, touch, and functionality. This instrument also features a highly reliable Eb lever, implemented with a new lifting-up key system which allows for a much smoother playing action.
The 'G' in CSGIII denotes the German stylings that are present in the design of this instrument. These include a shorter barrel, a ring-less bell and an overall milder and softer tone colour. The result is a truly standout, unique looking clarinet, featuring a German aesthetic alongside a traditional Boehm style fingering system.
The YCL-CSGIII comes with a custom Yamaha ebonite 5CM mouthpiece, as well as a silver-plated ligature and mouthpiece cap. A 54mm and 55mm barrel are included for tuning versatility in ensemble settings, as well as a high-quality Yamaha clarinet case with cover. The professional standard case is durable, highly portable, and perfectly suited for carry-on luggage - making it perfect for the musician on the move.
