Be prepared for anything. The Yamaha Motif Rack XS will have you covered for any occasion, thanks to its whopping 1,152 presets. This includes sparkling grands, warm basses, and luscious strings. The XS also provides a vast array of vintage electric piano, organ, and synthesised sounds. This versatile tone generator has it all, offering a wide range of drum kit styles and percussion to perfectly match any musical genre.

Versatile processing power

The Motif Rack XS has much more to offer than presets, providing you with extensive, versatile, processing power. The system runs eight insertions, two systems, and a master block effect. This allows you to insert processing at any point in the signal chain, with the additional option of independent and master EQs. By doing so Yamaha allow you to make sure that that the Rack XS offers total conformity when adapting to your work flow.

System effects include phasers,flangers, and delays. These allow you to enrich your recordings with magnificence. The inclusion of distortion, compression, lo-fi, and wah lets you be as creative as your heart desires.

Hark back to the golden age of recording with Yamaha’s Virtual Circuitry Modelling (VCM). VCM is excellent for adding serious mojo to your recordings via 1970’s modelled EQ and compression units, without the six figure price-tag.

Detailed, all-encompassing editor

The Motif Rack XS Editor provides you with exhaustive manipulation of all voice and drum presets. Through simple click and drag choices the intuitive, graphic display allows you to conveniently tweak settings. The Editor provides perfect synchronisation with the rack mount unit, ensuring any changes are made instantly.

Becoming an important tool in your computer system, the XS Editor can be used as a stand-alone programme. This is available as a free download on the Yamaha website. Cubase AI 8 is also included, making the Motif Rack XS real value for money.
