The Yamaha HS8 Active Studio Monitor is ideal for mixing and mastering applications, with its premium-grade components, high-resolution audio and attenuation controls. The bi-amplified design is comprised of an 8-inch cone woofer and a 1-inch dome tweeter.
At the heart of the HS8 is the dual amplifier that provides 75W of power for the low end and 45W for the high-end, resulting in 120W of power amplification for optimum efficiency. The nearfield design is ideal for creating the perfect mix, boasting a wide frequency response as well as versatile connectivity for connecting to audio interfaces and more.
The bi-amplified design features an extended frequency range, ranging from 38Hz – 30kHz ensuring you capture every nuance from your source audio. It also features a bass-reflex port for a more pronounced and powerful low-end, highly useful for when it comes to mixing bass. It also includes Room Control and High trim switches allowing you to attenuate your studio monitors to suit the environment you are working in. This ensures optimal audio performance, allowing you to easily find your sweet spot. The HS8 also boasts larger magnets designed to provide a tightly controlled flux field with a smooth response.
The robust enclosure is designed to eliminate unwanted resonances for improved performance. The design is built-to-last with an ergonomic layout on the rear of the monitor, for quick and easy control of your parameters. It also boasts XLR and TRS phone jack inputs, accepting both balanced or unbalanced signals, ideal for routing sound from an audio interface. The rear of the studio monitor also features a main level attenuator, ranging from minimum to -10dB, ensuring optimal audio quality no matter the volume.
