Included are a collection of professional sounding plug-ins comprised of Softube's world-class Time and Tone Pack, with SAR-1R Reverb, Tube Delay and Saturation Knob. This is complemented by the Red 2 & Red 3 AAX, AU & VST plug-in suite which accurately models Focusrite’s classic Red range hardware equalizer and compressor. Having designed some of the most popular microphone preamps in the industry, Focusrite give you the transparent, low-noise and low-distortion preamp found not only in the Scarlett 2i2 but also their flagship Firewire interface, the Liquid Saffire 56. There's plenty of available headroom, which makes it suitable for moving coil, condenser and ribbon microphones regardless of the source. Phantom power is provided for mics that need it.

Front Panel Neutrik Combination Input

The front panel Neutrik combination input can be used to connect line and instrument level signals as well as microphones. This makes it perfect for recording the output of a synthesiser or stage piano, whilst at the flick of a switch you can cater for the output of an electric or acoustic guitar.

Unique Halo Signal Indicators

The Scarlett 2i2 features unique halo signal indicators which inform you that you've got a good signal level for recording. Red means that your signal is clipping, and that you should reduce the gain. The halo will momentarily turn amber as the level returns to a healthy level, at which point it will turn green.

Great Monitoring Capabilities

Get tactile control for the volume of your speakers with the large monitor dial. A high quality headphone amp provides a clean yet loud signal to headphones connected to the front panel socket. The direct monitor switch routes audio directly from the inputs to both the headphone and speaker outputs, allowing you to monitor the incoming signal with zero-latency.

Included Software - DAW and Effects

Included with the Scarlet 2i2 is Ableton Live Lite 8, as well as Focusrite's Scarlett plug-in suite. Compatible with all major DAWs, Scarlett plug-in suite provides EQ, Compression, Gate and Reverb - essential tools for polishing your mix.

Acorn MasterKey 25 Key USB MIDI Keyboard

The 25 velocity sensitive keys have a dynamic and fast response ideal for programming bass lines, drums or ripping synth moves. Use any standard MIDI software program or the included Presonus Studio One Artist. The compact and light design is perfect for mobile applications, wherever your music takes you.

Real-time controls such as the four knobs and the fader can be used to control instrument or mix parameters, even while you play. Professional-style pitch bend and modulation wheels allow you to add further articulation. The 3-digit LED display provides navigational feedback so it's quick and easy to find the right menus for changing MIDI channels, sending out program changes, transposing or programming the real time controls. And if 25 keys are not enough, press the octave up and down buttons to shift the keyboard range up or down instantly.

Installation is straightforward, too. Simply plug Masterkey 25 into a USB port on your computer and the operating system will do the rest. Masterkey 25 is USB class-compliant, which means that no driver is needed for supported operating systems.
