API's solid reputation in audio quality ensures this unit is exceptional in the analog department. The analog section features API circuitry contained in the two 312 preamps, giving the audio inputs that classic API console sound. The 20-segment metering system provides precise gain levels on microphone channels.

Digital Performance And Features

The digital section of the A2D features API's trademark quality too, including two level pots to adjust the feed to the A2D converters. The multi-position switch lets you select the desired sample frequency for extra versatility when it comes to recording. The External Sync LED illuminates the external clock when in use. SPDIF single ended RCA connectors and AES digital output on XLRs provide digital interface connections on the A2D. In addition, there are a pair of 9-pin D-sub connectors that allow the linking of multiple A2D units, for added versatility and expansion.
