The API 2500 Stereo Bus Compressor is a unique compressor unit featuring patented 'Thrust' circuitry. The 'Thrust' circuitry allows you to utilise the punch and hard hitting low-end frequencies, creating a high quality and thick sound. The API 2500's primary function is as a stereo compressor, although you can also use it as two separate units. One of the most unique features of this compressor is the ''old/new'' switches that let you choose between classic and modern compression types. This opens up a whole range of different sounds and applications with your API 2500 adding extra control and versatility. Also featured is an auto-makeup gain button that permits the user to set the threshold or ratio whilst maintaining a constant output level.

Mono Functionality and Auto-Makeup Gain

The API 2500 provides a variable link between the left and right channels, making it easier to work with your mono sources. The auto-makeup gain button on the output stage allows you to control the threshold or ratio, while automatically maintaining a constant output level. This gives you added versatility when it comes to treating audio.

API Audio History
