Portable Studio Experience

The Songmaker Kit from ROLI is an all-in-one portable studio and production bundle, combining the power of the Seaboard Block, Lightpad M and Loop Block to create this portable powerhouse. The combination of some of the most versatile products from ROLI, culminates into a portable studio experience that can be customised and expanded, thanks to the modular design. The Songmaker Kit comes complete with 100s of free sounds to get you started straight away. The bundle also comes enclosed in a protective snapcase, grouping each unit together for added flexibility.

Seaboard Block

The ROLI Seaboard Block incorporates the same design and look from the original Seaboard, in this scaled-down and highly portable version. The Seaboard Block can be used as a standalone instrument as well as with other Blocks for, optimal versatility. The highly portable design can be connected to other Blocks as well as working wirelessly. The 24-keywave keybed spans 2 octaves and provides exceptional expressive capabilities, thanks to its 5D Touch Technology. This innovative technology allows you to manipulate sounds using different gestures such as Strike, Press, Glide, Slide and Lift to get the most out of your sound. The pressure-sensitive keybed is perfect as a standalone instrument or as an extension block for other ROLI Blocks. The Seaboard Block comes complete with over 200 sounds, as well as accompanying software so you can add your own samples from the Seaboard library.

Lightpad M

The ROLI Lightpad M builds on the success of its predecessor, with a range of improvements and upgrades. One of the most prominent changes made to the design is the microkeywaves. Inspired by the Roli Seaboard, the microkeywaves deliver exceptional tactile control and feedback, from the pressure-sensitive surface. The redesigned silicone surface layer is deeper and softer, with 225 microkeywaves in total for optimal expressive control. The surface has also been made brighter for low-light environments, as well as looking sleek and stylish. This highly compact and lightweight controller fits within the palm of your hand, making it the ultimate portable performance controller. Its expandable connections allow you to link the Lightpad M to other ROLI blocks for expansive control.

Loop Block

The ROLI Loop Block is the ideal tool for adding looping and recording functionality to the ROLI Lightpad Block. The ROLI Loop Block provides you with a range of controls that make recording and playing back sounds and sequences easier than ever. It features 8 controls in total with a dual-button navigation control for toggling between parameters. The most unique parameter is the ‘Learn Mode’ button which provides you with a visual tutorial on how to interact with each different sound. The ROLI Loop Block features a range of versatile controls including: Mode. Volume, Click, Snap, Undo, Play, Record & Learn. This diverse range of controls allows you to do everything from set the tempo of your loops to quantizing your recorded loops to ensure they are snapped to the correct tempo. The click function even allows you to set the tempo of your loops manually like a metronome. If you ever make a mistake while recording your loops (even after playback) you can press the Undo button to go revert to the original configuration and start fresh.

Music Software Bundle

The Songmaker Kit comes complete with a variety of premium-grade music software. The software bundle includes Noise, Equator, Strobe2 Player, Ableton Live Lite, Tracktion Waveform, BLOCK Dashboard and MaxMSP. The Songmaker Kit provides seamless integration with the official Equator software. The Equator software has the ability to turn the Lightpad M into a bank of touch faders, an QY pad or even a 5D touch controller for the Seaboard Block, whilst in ‘Songmaker’ mode. Ableton Live Lite is ideal for arranging, producing and mixing your sounds while on the move. The intuitive interface and wide range of parameters, mixing capabilities and more makes it easier than ever to record and produce music while on the move.
