The Ibanez RGDIR7M is designed for effortless speedy playability. This makes the RGDIR7M ideal for metal. It offers a neck specification aimed at high-performance, speed and comfortability. It takes the original super-thin and ultra-playable Wizard neck but upgrades it with added durability. The fingerboard features 24 jumbo frets for a wide tonal range. The extra-deep cutaways allow you to access the highest notes and shred through them with ease, while the luminescent side dot inlays make it easy for you to see fingerboard position marks when performing on dark stages. The Gibraltar Standard II bridge is a simple fixed bridge designed to provide optimal transfer of each string's vibration. Its smooth surface is designed to maximize playing comfort. The Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads offer incredible tuning stability, and also allow for quick and efficient string changes.
The stunning maple top features an eye-catching laser blue matte finish with a Birdseye maple fingerboard that is sure to get you noticed. With a body constructed from mahogany, the guitar produces tones that are exceptionally balanced and offer plenty of depth. The Birdseye Maple fingerboard offers a 400mmR radius, which sits comfortably in your hand and allows for smooth position shifting. The neck has also been extended by one inch to optimise for the rich, desirable thickness of tone that down-tuning produces.
The Ibanez RGDIR7M is equipped with DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups that have been designed to produce a powerful, distinctive tone with crispness in the high-end, tightness in the low-end, and a reduced muddy mid-range. They offer a modern, progressive sound with power, clarity and velocity. The DiMarzio pickups deliver a wide dynamic range that is perfect for solo and lead riffs.
Over the past 30 years, Ibanez have always been at the forefront of developing the right tools for Electric Guitar and Bass players, pushing the boundaries of music. For decades, Ibanez designers and luthiers have been the embodiment of this ideology, pushing their skills to the edge of imagination, consistently creating some of the most versatile and unique instruments ever. Although Ibanez guitars and basses have been made since 1908, it wasn't until the late 1980’s that they began to form an identity for themselves when artists such as Steve Vai and Frank Zappa began using their instruments. Now with a huge artist clientele across the globe Ibanez are a leading manufacturer of electric guitars and basses and a first choice for many dedicated musicians.
