Skindred are a British alternative metal band from Newport, South Wales that since their inception in 1998 have moulded their extremely original sound by incorporating a variety of musical influences such as metal, reggae, punk, ska, hip hop and dubstep into their song writing. With a huge collection of tours and festival shows under their belt Skindred have continued to grow in popularity over the years due to release 5 studio albums (most recently 'Kill The Power' 2014) and performing an extremely energetic and exciting live show which has lead to the creation of their very own signature crowd participation move called the 'Newport Helicopter'.
