Like many other amplifiers created by NUX, the 15SE is fully equipped with a variety of tube amp modes including tweed, plexi, British, modern, recto an modern. These unique tones can be easily accessed using the amp switch on top of the unit. The tweed tone is modeled after the classic American blue amplifier, with unique crunch tones that blue-guitarists with love. Plexi is modeled after uk classic stacks from the 60's, and offers a tight low end, with a smooth presence, ideal for hard rock. The British tone is modeled after particular combo amps from Liverpool, which provides a clear low midrange with a tight low end. The modern tone, produces a super high gain as used in 80's metal, and was modeled after an American modern high gain amp. Recto offers a low end with a shimmer presence, which is ideal for playing metal, grunge, and rhythm sounds. Finally, the Metal tone is modeled on the popular al pedal from the 90's, producing a great bottom-end and upper mid-range.
As well as being packed full of versatile amp sounds, the NUX Mighty 15SE DSP also contains four modulation effects including Chorus, Flanger, Phaser and Tremolo. The chorus adds a short delay to your signal, which is modulated in and out of tune and then mixed back with the original signal, creating a thicker sound. The Flanger effect uses a similar principle as the chorus, but uses a shorter delay time and adds regeneration to the modulation delay. The Phaser effect splits the incoming signal and changes the phasing of the signal. The phased signal is then taken in and out of phase and mixed back with the original signal, creating a warm sort of twisting sound. The tremolo effect provides a change of the signal level controlled by an LFO (Low frequency oscillation). Finally, the NUX Mighty 15SE DSP also offers delay and reverb and will add a dramatic impact to your sound.
As well as offering a wide range of tones and effects, the 15SE also comes fully equipped with a built-in tuner and a tap tempo function, which is ideal for practicing. With its lightweight design of only 8kg and ergonomic carry handle, the 15SE is perfect for the mobile musician as it can be taken anywhere.
