When it comes to amplifiers, sometimes power also equates to size. With the Bass Prodigy Four:88 this is not the case. In this compact amplifier, Mesa Boogie have packed as much as possible to make your bass sound incredible. In its 13kg, 16" form, there is an all-new Tube Preamp, a 5-position voice selector, watt selection, and a set of four, excellently crafted KT-88 valves. All of this in a lunch box sized amp head. Don't be put off by its size, the Four:88 has it all.

Acquire Incredible Tone With Ease

Crank up the volume and select one of the five voices the amplifiers rotary voice control provides. It really couldn't be easier. All the classic bass tones you can think of have been modeled perfectly here and with the bass and treble enhancements across the rest of the amplifier, incredible tone is just a dial turn away.

With Bright, Normal and Active input options for feeding the preamp valve, you are provided with a huge level of control over your tone. The design is built with making it easy to access great sound at the forefront of importance. The active Bass and Treble controls give you increased shaping power of the selected voice. The Gain control does what you expect, but does it brilliantly. From a tiny bit of push to amazing overdriven tones.

Multi Watt Versatility

The sound shaping capabilities of the Four:88 are further enhanced by the Multi Watt switch. Control the amount of power your amplifier runs at to change its tonal characteristics. With full and half settings you can switch between two completely separate sounds but play at the same volume. The Full setting delivers pure power where as the Half setting gives your bass sound a lot of subtlety with pushed up mids. This is perfect if you like to switch things up during shows as it's only a flick of a switch away.
