Key Features
Product Ref: 106187
This eye-catching semi acoustic guitar features a hollow body crafted from beautiful flamed maple. This stunning wood provides the distinctive flame grain that many top end guitars and violins use, and delivers a loud, projective tone with plenty of sustain. The maple tonewood provides a clear, defined upper midsection and a high-end sparkle, delivering a balanced low-end response ideal for chiming chords and super bright lead patterns. A pair of classic 'F' sound holes are also featured on the soundboard, allowing the natural sound to be projected acoustically. These elegantly cut holes, also provide a classic look that many guitarists associate with the 1950s era.
As well as providing a resonant body with comfortable contours, a three-piece mahogany/maple neck is also incorporated for added comfort and an enhanced tone. This three-piece neck is mounted with a bound ebony fingerboard with acrylic and abalone block inlays. Ebony is a great choice for fingerboards, as its natural smoothness reduces finger fatigue, ideal for fast playing styles, and provides the perfect platform for percussive styles such as tapping or hammer-ons. It’s bound edges allow for a smooth play and fluid hand flexibility across the whole neck.
The Ibanez AF155 Hollow Body delivers beautiful tones perfect for jazz fans, with its choice of incredible Super 58 pickups which have been used by artists like George Benson, Pat Metheny, and John Scofield. This vintage choice of pickup delivers warm, balanced articulation, an excellent response, and a perfect tone for jazz guitarists. These pickups are capable of delivering a 'jazz clean' tone, as well as 'blues-dirty' for a versatile performance.
The Ibanez Artstar Guitar features the ART-1 bridge and VT06 tailpiece combination in a stunning gold finish, creating a beautifully vintage appearance to compliment the guitar’s tones. The bridge and tailpiece work together to improve string and tuning stability, delivering an increase in resonance while enhancing its overall sustain.
