The Standard Jazz Bass

The Jazz Bass is renowned for its versatility and assured tonality. Versatile Tonality

This bass guitar features a classic combination of an alder body with a maple neck. This set of tonewoods gives you a bright and resonant tonality with the potential to create a wide range of sounds. 5 string instruments can suffer from a lack of sustain, so the standard Jazz Bass has a synthetic bone nut and a pau ferro fingerboard to increase sustain and provide greater note articulation.

Modern Playability

The Standard Jazz Bass features a modern ''C'' shape profile which sits effortlessly in the left hand and provides the ideal platform to create a low position for your thumb; ideal when having to reach across an additional 5th string. The fingerboard has a modern 9.5'' radius to move easily across the strings, while the satin finished neck is very smooth and gives you easy left hand transitions without any 'tackiness' that can occur with glossy necks in hot and humid conditions.
