David Gilmour and the Fender Custom Shop are extremely proud to release the David Gilmour Signature Stratocaster. Gilmour's famous ''Black Strat'' guitar was the cornerstone of the Pink Floyd sound, features extensively on The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall and his critically acclaimed 2006 solo effort On an Island. The Custom Shop worked closely with both Gilmour and his longtime guitar technician Phil Taylor to create this signature relic model, specially devised to capture the authenticity of the original-era while delivering the worn-in vibe of a genuine vintage instrument.

The Custom Shop David Gilmour Signature Stratocaster is equipped with an incredible trio of pickups that consist of a Seymour Duncan SSL-5 at the bridge, a Custom-Wound single-coil in the middle and a Custom Shop Fat '50s single-coil at the neck, helping to produce the iconic Pink Rose tonality with modern versatility. This faithful re-creation of David's famous ''Black Strat'' also features an American Vintage synchronised bridge with a custom beveled tremolo block and shortened tremolo arm, aged white pickup covers and aged parchment control knobs.

This signature model comes complete with a classic black and nitrocellulose lacquer body finish, plus a range of Custom Shop accessories, a hardshell case and a Custom Shop certificate of authenticity.
