Key Features
Product Ref: 79336
The Les Paul Traditional Guitar features the classic build and profile, with a solid mahogany body with a traditional carved top. The mahogany neck has been hand-fitted and glued-in for near-seamless neck-to-body contact, and features a SlimTaper D profile for fast playing with ease. Also featuring a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays and the iconic Les Paul signature on the headstock and truss rod cover.
The Les Paul features a set of Epiphone's own branded pickups, with an Alnico Classic PRO at the neck and a ProBucker-3 at the bridge, both using Epiphone’s 4-wire nickel/silver base design with newly tooled, USA style bobbins. The Alnico classic pro humbucker delivers warm, thick vintage tones that have traditional tonal characteristics with a modern feel. The ProBucker-3 is designed to match the rich and dynamic tone of vintage humbuckers, constructed from unevenly wound coils with Alnico II magnets to add a little extra bite when playing lead.
Incorporating a push/pull coil split on the volume controls, the Les Paul guitar offers the ability to switch the Epiphone pickups from humbucking to single coil mode with a simple push/pull. Perfect for guitarists who require an array of tones, the unique wiring allows seamless switching been single coil and humbucking modes.
The Epiphone Les Paul incorporates an innovative locking tune-o-matic bridge and tail piece system, eliminating the lack of stability when the strings are removed, which causes the bridge/tailpiece to fall off and minor unwanted adjustments to the bridge height to be made. The Locktone tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece is designed to prevent that by using high tension springs fitted into the attachments, allowing the bridge to clip and lock into place without the use of tools, increasing the guitar's sustain by up to twenty percent.
