The George Lynch Kamikaze-1 is loaded with an ESP Designed SS-120 at the neck, and a Seymour Duncan Signature George Lynch “The Hunter” at the bridge. The ESP SS-120 produces tight, focused lows and bright, sparkling highs, making it ideal for a variety of playing styles. The Seymour Duncan George Lynch Signature 'Hunter' Pickup delivers iconic Lynch tones, with the punchy and present sound of heavy metal. These pickups are capable of producing good output for leads just like George Lynch himself.
This Signature George Lynch Guitar features a double cutaway body that is crafted from maple. The double cutaway provides easy access to the higher frets and enhanced comfort. The maple body delivers plenty of bright attack and great projection blended with excellent note definition. Maple provides crisp tones that can cut through tough mixes, and also offers ringing sustain.
Manufactured with a maple neck, players can benefit from a comfortable and smooth feel when navigating the fingerboard. The maple neck produces bright tones with good clarity, and is paired with an ebony fingerboard that brings snappy attack and exceptional clarity to the overall tone.
With a design that has stood strong for over 30 years, the Floyd Rose Locking Tremolo allows you to adjust the string tension and pitch with the removable whammy bar to create unique sounds such as dive bombs. Unlike non-locking tremolos, this Floyd Rose bridge can make huge changes in pitch yet still retain the initial tuning by addition of the locking nut at the end of the headstock. The Kamikaze-1 is also equipped with Gotoh tuners, which offer excellent string stability and reliable tuning.
George Lynch is known in the music world as the former lead guitarist of American metal band, Dokken and founding member of Lynch Mob. Lynch's first endorsement with ESP began in 1986 and he has been shredding ESP guitars ever since. ESP's signature George Lynch collection represents his 'incendiary' guitar attitude; as evident through the crazy design of the Kamikaze-1.
