Classic Alder Body

The Fender Standard Stratocaster features a classic alder body favoured by Fender for over 50 years. This classic design produces a resonant and balanced tone with plenty of clarity, allowing for a distinctive sound only found in the Fender alder body. This distinctiveness of sound makes the Standard Stratocaster favourable for a reason. Its balanced response and slight upper middle definition has been favoured by the players of rock and blues for decades, proving the alder body really has stood the test of time. Its lightweight design and ease of playing means the alder body can keep producing its distinctive sound over and over again throughout the entirety of those long set lists without straining your shoulder.

Pau Ferro Fingerboard

The Pau Ferro fingerboard, offers a smooth yet rigid support for your playing. The 21 fret medium jumbo size fingerboard, shaped to the narrow "C" profile, means both beginners and seasoned pros will appreciate the ease this shape allows when it comes to stretching to those full bright chords. The fingerboard radius is the customary 9.5 inch radius, providing the smooth, complementary shape we've all come to know and love in the Stratocaster.

Pickups and Electronics

The three standard single-coil Strat pickups are fitted into the neck, middle, and bridge positions, and the 5-position pickup selector allows you to control the selection of these pickups. You can also utilise the tone controls for the neck and middle pickups, and a master volume pot for ramping up the volume. This setup although simple and easy to use, masks the complex range of tonal options available to the guitarist. Whatever your style, the Standard Strat enables you to access the tone you need, when you need it most, without the complexity of other guitars.

Around the pickups and control knobs, the pickguard protects the finish of the guitar, with the electronics being shielded to reduce unwanted low-level background noise. If you play high-gain music such as grunge, rock, metal, or punk, you can be certain that the noise generated by the pickups will be held at an absolute minimum throughout your playing, providing the best quality sound without interrupting background noise.
