The Natal Stave Bubinga Snare Drum delivers a truly natural sound with power, resonance and an excellent dynamic range. All Natal Stave Snares are hand built in England, with each drum featuring hand polished double 'Sun' lugs, Tru-Tune tension rods and a Tri-Throw snare mechanism. They also include 2.3mm triple flange chrome hoops and are finished with a die-cast Natal logo badge.

The stave shell construction of this snare is the key to its impressive resonance and musical tone. A stave is a block of wood, almost like a xylophone bar, the stave blocks are then glued together at their edges to form the shell. This method of construction means that the grains within the wood run vertically, from top to bottom, allowing the shell to resonate more freely and by using as little glue as possible, the resonant waves can vibrate more intensely.
